President Joe Biden’s approval rating has hit a record low of 38.7%, the lowest for a first-term president according to Gallup. “None of the other nine presidents elected to their first term since Dwight Eisenhower had a lower 13th-quarter average than Biden,” Gallup reported, placing his rating in the bottom 12% of all presidential quarters since 1945.

Biden’s approval dipped further after a Hamas attack on Israel, mainly due to Democratic voter dissatisfaction with his pro-Israel stance. A Pew Research report shows a shift among Catholic voters, with 55% now supporting Donald Trump, compared to 45% for Biden, a significant change from 2020.

Hispanic Catholic support for Biden has also declined, though he still leads Trump narrowly. Protestants largely support Trump, while atheists and agnostics favor Biden. Biden’s policies conflicting with Catholic teachings have drawn criticism, with Cardinal Wilton Gregory calling him a “Cafeteria Catholic.”

In a USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll, Trump leads Biden 40% to 38%, with many voters still undecided. Key issues include inflation, the economy, immigration, and democracy, with abortion also a significant concern.
