Note after Ambulance Takes Her Away

Martin, an arrogant man, had long criticized his wife, Shannon, for being a terrible homemaker.

He often mocked her for not managing work and household duties properly, especially after their twins, Lucas and Justin, were born. Shannon struggled to balance everything, often making mistakes like burning breakfast or leaving the iron on. Tired of her mistakes, Martin demanded she quit her job and focus on the kids full-time, but things only got worse. He blamed Shannon for every mishap and belittled her, even recalling how he had fought his mother to marry her.

One evening, after a birthday party for their twins, Martin’s impatience reached its peak. He yelled at Shannon while she struggled to put the babies to sleep, sarcastically criticizing her for not fulfilling her duties properly. Shannon, exhausted and hungry, collapsed from exhaustion as a vase broke. Martin, panicked, called an ambulance and rushed her to the hospital, where doctors revealed Shannon had fainted from sheer exhaustion.

When Martin returned home, he stumbled upon Shannon’s to-do list, which highlighted her packed, unrelenting schedule. He realized just how much she did daily and how little help he had provided. Deeply ashamed, Martin decided to try doing the chores himself, only to fail miserably, further realizing how difficult Shannon’s life truly was.

Martin learned the hard way that homemaking was far from easy and vowed to never take his wife’s efforts for granted again.
