Dog Visits Closed Store Every Day

Chris, an 18-year-old boy working at a warehouse near a closed bike shop, often noticed a scruffy Shiba Inu dog standing at the shop’s door.

The dog, named Ollie, came to the store daily, staring at the glass windows, before wandering off again. Curious about the dog’s peculiar behavior, Chris decided to investigate one day, leading him to uncover a heartbreaking truth.

Ollie wasn’t like other street dogs Chris had seen. He was friendly, polite, and looked too well-groomed to be a stray. When Chris asked around, he learned that Ollie once belonged to the bike shop owner, who hadn’t been seen in weeks. The story troubled Chris, especially because Ollie seemed so attached to the shop, waiting there every day as if expecting his owner to return.

One afternoon during his lunch break, Chris approached Ollie with a sandwich. The dog wagged his tail enthusiastically but, to Chris’s surprise, didn’t eat the food. Instead, Ollie clamped the sandwich tightly in his jaws and darted off. Intrigued, Chris began offering Ollie food every day, only to see him repeat the same behavior—grabbing the meal and running off somewhere.

At first, Chris assumed the dog might be taking the food to feed puppies. But then he remembered Ollie was a male. Each day, Ollie’s routine puzzled Chris more, especially as the dog seemed to grow thinner and weaker despite his efforts. The mystery weighed heavily on Chris’s mind.

One cold evening after work, Chris noticed Ollie sitting at the shop, staring at the windows as usual. The sight tugged at his heartstrings, and Chris decided he couldn’t leave the dog out in the cold any longer. He gently patted Ollie’s head and whispered, “You’re not alone, buddy. I’ll take care of you.” Chris resolved to bring Ollie home, but he knew it wouldn’t be easy to convince his girlfriend, Mila, to let him keep the dog. Mila wasn’t fond of pets, especially dogs.

That night, Chris brought Ollie home. Mila was furious when she saw the dog. “What’s that doing here?” she exclaimed, stepping back in disgust. Chris tried to explain Ollie’s situation and begged her to let him stay. Reluctantly, Mila agreed, but with strict conditions: the dog would not be allowed in the bedroom, and Chris would be solely responsible for cleaning up after him.

The next morning, Chris woke up to find Ollie missing. Panicked, he searched the entire apartment but couldn’t find the dog anywhere. Mila denied having anything to do with it and even teased Chris for trusting the dog. Later that day, Chris returned to the marketplace and, to his relief, saw Ollie sitting outside the bike shop. Although upset by the dog’s disappearance, Chris was determined to uncover the reason behind Ollie’s daily routine.

The following evening, Chris decided to follow Ollie after giving him food. He trailed the dog for hours as Ollie trotted through winding streets and out of town. Finally, Ollie stopped at an old, abandoned house. Chris watched as the dog crawled under a fence and scratched at the door of the house. To Chris’s astonishment, another dog, a large German Shepherd, began barking from inside.

Peering through a window, Chris saw the German Shepherd, weak and emaciated, devouring the food Ollie had brought. It became clear to Chris that Ollie had been bringing food to his companion, who was trapped inside the house. Deeply moved by Ollie’s loyalty, Chris knew he had to act fast.

Chris called the police, who arrived and broke down the door to rescue the German Shepherd, later identified as Max. The officers discovered that the house belonged to the missing bike shop owner, whose body was found in one of the outbuildings. It appeared that the man had passed away weeks earlier, leaving Max trapped inside with no food or water.

Ollie’s actions had kept Max alive. Chris decided to adopt both dogs, but he knew convincing Mila wouldn’t be easy. When he brought Ollie and Max home, Mila initially resisted. However, after hearing about Ollie’s incredible loyalty and Max’s plight, her heart softened. She agreed to give the dogs a chance.

Over time, Mila grew to love the dogs just as much as Chris did. Ollie and Max became an inseparable part of their lives, proving that even in the face of tragedy, compassion and loyalty can create a happy ending.
