CAMERON DIAZ REVEALS HOW SHE FOUND ‘PEACE’ AFTER DITCHING HOLLYWOOD FOR GOOD

Cameron Diaz stands out as one of Hollywood’s iconic figures, thanks to her memorable performances in renowned films like “The Mask” and “There’s Something About Mary,” as well as her contributions to blockbuster franchises such as “Shrek” and “Charlie’s Angels.”

However, her absence from the silver screen since 2017 has left fans wondering about her whereabouts.

Despite her immense success, Diaz made a conscious decision to step away from Hollywood, opting for retirement. Her remarkable career boasted achievements like generating over $3 billion in US box office earnings and earning four Golden Globe nominations.

Nevertheless, after her roles in films like “The Other Woman,” “Sex Tape,” and “Annie” in the early 2010s, Diaz chose to prioritize her personal life over her professional endeavors

In interviews, Diaz has candidly shared her reasons for embracing retirement. She expressed a desire for a change in her life’s trajectory, acknowledging the toll that the demanding nature of the film industry had taken on her personal well-being.

Diaz emphasized the sacrifices she made, relinquishing control over her time and personal life for the sake of her career.

Married to musician Benji Madden, Diaz found solace in her family life, especially after welcoming her daughter, Raddix, in 2019. Reflecting on her decision, she remarked on the importance of reclaiming ownership of her life and rediscovering a balance between work and personal fulfillment.

Despite her departure from acting, Diaz remained active in other endeavors, notably authoring bestselling health books like “The Body Book” and “The Longevity Book.” However, in a surprising turn of events, Diaz recently announced her return to the film industry, marking a temporary departure from her retirement.

In recent news, it was announced that Cameron Diaz is making a comeback to the big screen in a fittingly titled film, “Back in Action,” alongside Jamie Foxx. Scheduled for release on Netflix this year, the movie marks Diaz’s first new project since 2014’s “Annie.”
