I went out for a run earlier today, just trying to clear my head and get some fresh air. It was a quiet afternoon, the kind where everything feels a bit too still.

As I was jogging through the park, I noticed an old woman sitting alone on a bench. She looked a little out of place, like she’d been there a while.

When I got closer, she called out to me and asked for help.There was something in her voice that didn’t sit right with me. I couldn’t explain it—it wasn’t anything obvious, but I had this strong gut feeling that something was off. My instincts were practically screaming at me to keep moving.

So I quickly, made up an excuse, said I was in a hurry, and walked off without looking back. Later that evening, when I got home and turned on the news, I froze. They were reporting about a woman who had been spotted in the area,  someone the police were actively searching for. The description they gave matched the woman I’d seen in the park almost perfectly. It gave me chills to realize just how close I might’ve come to something dangerous.
