In a recent interview, British singer Ed Sheeran opened up about how he once smoked marijuana with Snoop Dogg until he “couldn’t see”. In March of this year, Snoop gifted the vocalist a solid gold Death Row chain following a conversation the two had backstage at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena. However, that wasn’t all that happened.

Sheeran recently revealed that after Snoop’s concert, the two celebrities hung out and had some late-night experiences. The Doggystyle emcee is renowned for his never-ending marijuana smoking. As such, Sheeran didn’t want to miss the opportunity to roll up and blaze a joint with the Long Beach legend.

In an appearance on the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast, the ‘Shape Of You’ vocalist recalled his interactions with Snoop over a joint, recounting, “I don’t really smoke at all. I was in the dressing room, and they’re just [smoking] like blunt, for blunt, for blunt, for blunt. I was like, I guess at some point during the night, I have to, just to say I smoked with Snoop Dogg.”

The ‘Galway Girl’ singer then described how he and Snoop were in a deep conversation before the ‘Gin And Juice’ rapper offered him some of the recreational drug, divulging, “He was like, ‘Do you want some?’ and I was like, now’s the time. We were having a good conversation. So I have a bit, and I was like, I don’t feel too bad. This is good.”

He continued, “Then I have a bit more, and then I have a bit more, and then I have a bit more. I just remember looking at him and being like, I can’t see right now.” Prior to the release of Sheeran’s Disney+ documentary series, The Sum of it All, the Suffolk vocalist opened up about his relationship with narcotics as an adolescent.

Reflecting on his teenage years, Sheeran stated, “[I was] sort of dabbling. And then it just turns into a habit that you do once a week and then once a day and then, like, twice a day and then, like, without booze. It just became bad vibes.” 

Sheeran has now officially had the Snoop Dogg experience. Not only does he now own a solid gold Death Row pendant, which is worth approximately $6,500 (£5,300), he has now smoked blunts with his idol.
